The High Mountain Native Grass Seed Mix is a resilient mix of small to medium-height grasses designed for use in high elevation areas (from 7,500 to around 9,000 ft. in the southern parts of the Intermountain states and above approximately 6,000 to around 8,000 ft. in the northern part of the Intermountain area). This expertly formulated blend of cool-season grasses thrive in cool mountain areas and is formulated to withstand drought, provide habitat and be a source of natural beauty in late summer and fall.

The season for sowing the High Mountain mix begins after snow melts and extends into late July/early August. The higher the elevation, the sooner in summer the mix should be sown. Best times to seed are either early spring or during summer monsoons, even into late fall. These species grow well in a wide range of soil types; from sandy to loam to heavy clay.

Seeding rate is 1-2 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. Germination will depend on the amount of moisture present, either by natural precipitation or through supplemental irrigation. These grasses will need two seasons in order to firmly establish. Wildflowers may be added for a splash of color; use 1 ounce of High Country Meadow Mix for every 1 lb. of grass seed.

This Mix Is Comprised Of The Following Grasses:
Bouteloua gracilis (Blue Grama)
Festuca arizonica (Arizona Fescue)
Festuca idahoensis (Idaho Fescue)
Elymus trachycaulus (Slender Wheatgrass)
Elymus elymoides (Bottlebrush Squirreltail)
Festuca arundinacea (Forage Tall Fescue)
Lolium perenne (Perennial Ryegrass)

Garmin has been a super disappointment.
Style: Alpha TT 25
FOR THE REMOTE: For reasons I cannot fathom as a software developer, the Garmin developers chose to program the handheld to wait for GPS lock before allowing you to control the collar. This is stupid beyond belief and causes frustration that simply shouldn't be. Look Garmin, the remote should be able to communicate with the collar first and foremost. I want to be able to power everything up, put the collar on the dog, and walk out the door. If my dog sees a rabbit or deer, I want to be able to remind him not to chase. I DON'T want to stand there staring at my remote greeted by the message "Waiting for GPS" with all the buttons non-responsive. Fix this! This should be super easy to fix with a firmware update. Fix it and I'll gladly give this unit 10 stars! GPS is way too finicky to have to wait for it before using the basic controls. Update: SERIOUSLY!! HOT GARBAGE. This remote couldn't find a satellite if I stuck one up its... AGH.. and you can't communicate with your dog's collar until it does. FOR THE COLLAR: You won't be happy with the beeper.. It's super quiet. The light is an awesome feature. Vibration may work for your dog, mine doesn't seem to notice it at all. If the antenna was any longer it would pick up signals from outer space. Buy the shorter one if you decide to go with this unit and don't need to keep your dog from crossing an ocean. Seriously though... I'll never buy anything Garmin again. I would recommend you don't either.

Works Great, Use Daily, No Issues
Style: Alpha TT 25
While expensive, this product is rock-solid and has not given me a single issue over 2 years of use. Would buy again, highly satisfied. Can't beat the functionality or peace of mind of knowing right where our beloved family pet and hunting companion is located.
